As well as area for his own works, Miró wanted a venue for contemporary arts analysis and conversation—so there’s a wealth of seasonal displays. Downstairs, the Espai 13 studio is always taken over by a freelance curator or rising Art Galery artist–you’ll find videos, light installations, even personal performances. Recent years have seen fascinating temporary deep-dives into Miró’s inventive and personal relationship with different artists, notably Picasso and Matisse.
