The Law School supplies a Clinical Legal Education program via which our students can participate in native, national and international authorized internships with law corporations, courts, government agencies, non-governmental organisations and the UWA Mediation Clinic. This four-day government education short course examines the character, perform, governance and regulation of not-for-profit entities in Australia, with a concentrate on charities. The unit approaches these issues on a life-cycle foundation, examining elements of formation, governance, tax and fundraising concessions, regulatory necessities and dissolution restrictions applicable to NFP entities beneath statute and the frequent law. In doing so, we’ll examine boundary issues such as the supply of private benefits, the commerce/NFP boundary and the government/NFP boundary.
